Job Description: This position is best suited for an outgoing, confident, persuasive individual who is persistent in his/her efforts to achieve goals. Highlights from the job description include: 1. Proactively develops and implements strategies and activities to promote Credit Union membership growth and product penetration. 2. Conducts off-site presentations and attends meetings, events, and activities sponsored by existing and prospective membership groups. 3. Develops and maintains positive relationships with existing and prospective membership groups 4. Maintains frequent contact with groups using a variety of methods including telephone, email, direct mail, and off-site visits. 5. Assists with the acquisition of prospective membership groups by contacting and visiting these groups and promoting the benefits of Credit Union membership and its products. 6. Determines the effectiveness of business development activities by tracking efforts and analyzing outcomes. Prepares reports summarizing all activities and documenting this analysis. 7. Increases awareness of the Credit Union within local communities by participating in business, community, and charitable organization activities. 8. Coordinates Credit Union sponsorship opportunities with community and membership groups. 9. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services and cross-sells products and services when applicable. 10. Performs other functions that facilitate the objectives of the Marketing Department. Work Schedule: The ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate activities that may take place outside business hours is required. The work schedule will be based on the needs of existing and prospective membership groups. The ability to work early morning, late evening, and Saturday hours is required. Travel Requirements: Extensive weekly travel throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan area is required. Travel typically occurs during the day when visiting membership groups and other businesses. Minimum Qualifications: In order to be considered, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications: * High school diploma or GED; and * Two years' experience in sales, marketing, business development, or customer service Other Job Requirements: * Ability to persuade, build consensus, and influence others in an ethical manner * Ability to deliver effective oral presentations to groups * Ability to organize work and manage time effectively * Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing membership groups * Highly effective oral and written communication skills * Ability to travel between locations and within the Baltimore area for trainings or meetings * Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet applications, e-mail, and various windows-based software applications including word processing * Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds * Possession of a current, valid non-commercial (Class C) driver's license * Reliable transportation (must provide own transportation) * Possession of auto insurance that meets minimum requirements in the state of MD How to Apply: To apply for this position, please visit the career portal on our website at www.bcefcu.com/careers Resumes may be attached, but please note that they are not accepted instead of an employment application.
