Tracking Code LEAD-17-0502-F Job Code 17-0502 Posting Title Electronics Technician Maintenance I Post Date 3/12/2017 Full Time / Part-Time Full Time Pay Rate $23.51 Travel No Travel Required City Chambersburg State PA Country US Description ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE Bldg 57 1st Shift This position will focus primarily on Electric/mechanical work Security Clearance or the ability to successfully secure Security Clearance is required. The Electronics Technician Maintenance I applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals, following detailed instructions and working from blue prints and/or schematics. Work requires familiarity with circuit card repair, wiring, soldering, building cable harnesses and using test reading equipment, such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semi-conductor testers, curve tracers and oscilloscopes. Additionally, work will require inspecting, cleaning, configuration screening, repairing and replacing common and application specific circuits on multi-layer boards. Applicant must exhibit competent judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools and test instruments. Work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: * Some positions may require experience in circuit card assembly and repair * Some positions may require experience in using micro-miniature soldering and component replacement techniques * Some positions may require cable wire harness experience * Some positions may require generator experience * Must be able to perform basic mathematics. * Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. * Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner. * Must be motivated to perform other duties as assigned. Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Micro-miniature soldering certification is a plus. * Minimum of one-three (1-3) years' experience in the position applied for (referenced above). * Working knowledgeable of Army regulations; systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines is a plus. * Security Clearance is required; must be able to pass a background investigation and gain access to military installations. * Experience working at Letterkenny Army Depot highly desired. COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general computer knowledge. Working knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet software, word processing software and MS Office Suite is a plus.
