McGuireWoods has an opening for a full-time receptionist in the Washington, DC office. The work hours are 8:00-5:00 Monday - Friday. As the receptionist at the law firm, you will be the "face" of the office and a positive representation of our commitment to providing excellent client service. Your ability to be composed and in-control is critical as you represent the firm in all of your interactions. McGuireWoods LLP is a major US law firm with offices in the United States and Europe. For more information, please visit www.mcguirewoods.com. + Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone via attendant console software; answers and refers inquiries + Schedules visiting attorney offices and conference rooms and maintains on-line calendar of conference room reservations + Coordinates numerous catering requests; works closely with outsourced conference services personnel to ensure room set-ups and food/beverage needs are covered + Works closely with on-site technician to ensure audio-visual needs are provided when necessary + Follows security protocol and procedures for clients and guests; monitors logbook; issues visitor badges and validates parking as appropriate + Serves as primary safety warden for building evacuations. + Assists Office Administrator with various projects. + High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred + Minimum of three years of receptionist experience required, preferably in a large law firm environment + Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills + High computer literacy and skill with MS Office and other software + Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously + Professional telephone manner Have additional questions?
