Sr. Enterprise Architect
GDIT's Health and Civilian Solutions Engineering Division is searching for a Senior Enterprise Systems Architect to focus on architecting large-scale innovative and cost effective technical solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. As a recognized expert in systems integration, the Architect will design approaches that optimize enterprise operations to support customer mission needs, business constraints, and technical realities. This includes keeping current with industry trends and standards, both from a business and technical standpoint. Candidates will also support the development of technical roadmaps for future implementation and perform advanced systems analysis and design to ensure the soundness of the solution. Expert knowledge of systems engineering principles, strategic planning and investment management along with deep knowledge of IT hardware, software and equipment are important. Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communications skills including the ability to participate in persuasive discourse with customers and the ability to produce compelling documentation of solutions that is easily understood by non-technical reviewers. Demonstrated success in building meaningful and productive relationships with senior leaders, peers and customers is also required. Education 1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline. 2. Master's Degree preferred. Qualifications 20 or more years of related systems engineering experience. Subject Matter Expert on everything related to large-scale enterprise architecture, implementation and operations. Design and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts and on-going operations.Developing complex infrastructure solutions that encompass Cloud or Virtualized environments (AWS, Azure, VMWare, etc).Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AOAs) regarding proposed technical solutions.Extensive expertise leading enterprise technical solution development for Bid & Proposal efforts, to include transition in/out activities.Apply business process engineering principles to develop end-to-end systems architecture and operational support models Developing comprehensive Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support Bid & Proposal efforts.Support the development of reusable solutions for hardware and software intensive work efforts. Requirements:
- 15+ years of large-scale enterprise architecture and solutioning expertise.Expert knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD principles and technologies.Experience developing cloud-based solutionsFluent with agile software development best practices.Knowledgeable of software architecture trends to include design, development, deployment, and sustainment.Experience managing technical teams Skilled in technical planning, deployment, integration, test/validation, and configuration of Free and Open Software (FOSS), Commercial-off- the-Shelf (COTS), Government-off- the-Shelf (GOTS), and custom software in both the Linux and Windows operating environments.In-depth knowledge of technology trends and standards, both from a business and technical viewpoints.
