The Partners Network is renowned for undertaking cutting edge work and applying our process expertise to convene disparate parties to jointly tackle some of the most complex development challenges.

We are looking for an energetic and committed individual to join us as a Revenue Diversification Intern, working closely with the Civil Society Global Initiative and Business Development Teams. The internship will draw upon your business skills to assist PartnersGlobal to diversify our current revenue streams beyond our traditional funders and build a sustainable funding base for our critical work around the globe. This internship requires initiative and creativity through hands-on exposure to an international nonprofit working in the field of democracy-building and conflict management. You will enjoy a dynamic learning and professional development atmosphere, and will receive mentoring and guidance throughout your time with us. Our collaborative and dynamic team looks forward to offering real-time experience applying inputs from the Revenue Diversification Intern directly to the practical design and roll-out of a revised business model.

Learning opportunities include:

  • Work directly with a recognized expert in the field of civil society organizational development to streamline, package, and market tools related to revenue diversification for civil society;
  • Draw on private sector knowledge and experience to adapt fundraising proposals and communications products to a private sector audience;
  • Provide direct assistance to the Business Development Team on all non-U.S. government funding opportunities. Learning opportunities include conducting background research, writing and reviewing proposal narratives, and assisting with budgets and budget narratives;
  • Sharpen data management skills by assisting the Business Development Team in managing the organization's Salesforce and SharePoint systems; and
  • Represent PartnersGlobal at networking events around the District

Qualifications: The ideal prospective candidate is a graduate or MBA student or recent college graduate with demonstrated interest, work experience, and/or academic study in business, marketing, PR, communications, democratic governance, and/or peacebuilding (highly qualified undergraduates will also be considered); exceptional English language writing and editing skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and an insatiable desire to learn. Graphic design experience, experience with databases and knowledge management tools, and previous internship or work experience in the private sector is preferred.
