Works as part of a state of the art treatment facility where integrated treatment in behavioral health care is on the cutting edge. Serves as the clinical lead for a team providing outpatient and intensive out-patient treatment for individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. Duties include completing complex comprehensive evaluations of individuals who are often court ordered to treatment. Developing detailed client centered treatment plans, conducting individual group and family treatment. Must be able to function autonomously as well as be part of a large team, may mentor mental health therapist or student. Maintain detailed electronic health records meeting state local and federal performance contract expectations. Responsible for reviewing charts of non-licensed clinicians. Case management duties to include, completing urinalysis, and breathalyzer, linking, monitoring, and reporting to community partners such as Probation and Parole, court system, etc. A strong commitment to program development with an approach of "nothing is impossible" is required.

Employment Standards

Graduation from an accredited college with a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing; plus two years of clinical experience.

Possession of a current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist. A valid motor vehicle driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or equivalent in another state) at time of appointment and maintained throughout employment with CSB.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, a check with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), and a driving record to the satisfaction of the employer. Able to operate keyboard driven computer equipment and read data on monitor. Annual TB test. 75% of work is located in general office. Must be able to independently transport self and fulfill duties at other sites and home visits. Must be able to observe, process, and document clinical information and make clinical interventions appropriate to client needs. Must be able to access, input, and retrieve computer data.

In depth skills in integrating combined therapies for individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders. Must be licensed. Skill in Motivational interviewing. Strong commitment to program development.
