JOB TITLE: Strategic Communications Senior Program Analyst (Part-Time)PROJECT OVERVIEW: OPNAV N96 is responsible for determining surface combatant force levels, shipboard and related support requirements, and major characteristics of programs involving weapon systems, cruisers, destroyers, frigates, command ships, patrol craft, and littoral combat ships. N96 requires professional support services in the functional area of Communications Management at the Resource Sponsor level. JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluate and prepare program briefs, point papers, commentaries, articles, reports, correspondence, speeches, presentations, white papers and other public affairs related documentation in accordance with the current communications strategy. Specific tasks: Provide strategic analysis and well-integrated/coordinated support for OPNAV N96. Assist in the development of Flag-level briefs and speeches tailored for leadership to deliver to a wide range of audiences, including media, congressional staffers, industry, other military entities, university officials and midshipmen. Draft and develop reports, articles, videos, and commentaries for print and/or electronic media distribution, to include Social Media. Develop and contribute to narratives and storylines for N96 input to the Chief of Naval Operations hearing preparation papers. Develop and contribute to public affairs messaging and media strategies for Surface Warfare programs (Cruisers, Destroyers, Littoral Combat Ships, Frigates, Aegis, Standard Missile, Tomahawk, and other weapons and sensors in the Surface Combatant Force. Develop and contribute to the narrative associated with the Surface Navya€ (TM) s preeminent role in Integrated Air and Missile Defense, Inner Screen Anti-Submarine Warfare, and Offensive Anti-Surface Warfare Liaise and coordinate strategic communications and public affairs products with N96 staff, CHINFO, SECNAV, OSD, and other civilian public affairs staffs and organizations.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Security Clearance: SecretMinimum 10 years of hands-on experience in performing job description responsibilities, in addition to applying mission associated concepts, policies, requirements processes, and program guidanceExperience includes regular interactions with senior leadership internal and external to affiliated organizationExisting knowledge of historical and current Surface Warfare programsAbility to produce briefing slides, metric charts, program schedules, and organizational charts.Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Active SECRET security clearance DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Support staff experience at OPNAV, NAVSEA or Program Exective Offices (PEOs)/Program Offices directly supporting ships and shipboard systems.
