P & L responsibility for both the New and Renewal departments for the Insurance Agency's owned products. Manage sales, service, development, and administration of new and existing aviation insurance business. Support the achievement of business goals by creating a positive sales culture and productive team environment, coaching and developing talent and recognizing team and individual accomplishments, and collaborating with Agency leadership team to accomplish goals. 1. P & L responsibility for New and Renewal business of the Agency's owned products. Coordinate with Agency leadership and marketing to develop and effectively utilize sales leads and acquire new business. Achieve budgeted renewal retention ratios, while maintaining a positive customer experience. Establish and maintain objective measurement standards to achieve ancillary goals (ie service, turn around, client satisfaction, etc.) and publish dashboards as required. In collaboration with the president of the Agency and the Director of Operations, develop annual business plan and budget for the Agency, monitor results and provide monthly forecasts of financial performance. Serve as the liaison with Finance and Accounting on budgeting and forecasting. 2. Develop and execute a new business development plan to capture more market share in the aviation P & B segment and to extend the Agency's lines of business. 3. Develop and manage insurance company relationships-build and sustain strong and productive relationships with underwriters. 4. AOPA Member Communication. Receive and respond to member inquiries and complaints. 5. Supervisory Responsibilities--direct supervisor of remote and local team members. A focus on creating a sales culture vs. order taker operation. Train and develop new and existing team members. Perform team member performance reviews, set annual goals, monitor performance and provide ongoing training, feedback, and support. College Degree or equivalent experience required. Must have or be able to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license. Five or more years of insurance sales and customer service experience as an agent/broker or working for an insurance carrier. Aviation insurance experience and/or pilot certificate required. Minimum 5 years in leadership role developing, motivating and managing professional sales staff. Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. Knowledge of aviation terms and acronyms. Budgeting and financial forecasting experience required.
