Director, Operations III-Medical Group Cardiology
Sentara Healthcare Medical Group is hiring for a Director of Operations III-Cardiology. This position is located in the Norfolk area. Incumbent will function as the senior non-physician executive for a significant segment of the Sentara Medical Group with a focus on the Cardiology operations. - Master's Degree, at least 7 years of leadership experience in healthcare required
- Experience managing multi-site medical groups and inpatient hospital service line experience
- Cardiology service line experience a plus but not required
- Position will cover the Heart Hospital in Norfolk and multiple off site practices
- Position responsible for the operational, financial and clinical performance of the Sentara Medical Group Cardiology Division

Functions as the senior non-physician executive for a significant segment of Sentara Medical Group's operations. Directs and oversees the efficient and effective operations for a significant number of ambulatory practices, hospital based practices, and/or diagnostic facilities within a geographic region or for one or more hospital based service lines. Supervises Directors, Practice Managers and Team Coordinators assigned to one or more practices. Responsible for the development and expert execution of strategic plans that align with organizational goals and objectives related to growth, staffing, employee development, performance management, customer service/satisfaction, service delivery, quality, revenue enhancement, expense control, budgeting, regulatory compliance, safety and security.
