JOB SUMMARY:

About the Agency

The position serves as the Assistant to the Office of the Auditor-Master and operates with full authority to conduct evidentiary hearings and issue orders. The incumbent will assist the Auditor-Master in the daily oversight and administration of the office.

The incumbent is an energetic, optimistic professional who enjoys working with a diverse group of Court personnel and customers and lives the DC Courts’ values of Accountability, Excellence, Fairness, Integrity, Respect, and Transparency.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • A background and/or security investigation is required.
  • This position is an Excepted Service appointment.
  • Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Law degree plus four (4) years of litigation experience.

    Three (3) years of experience managing people in a public service, court system or legal environment. Must be a current member of the District of Columbia Bar.

    Familiarity with fiduciary accounting and with Probate, Civil and or Real Estate matters is required.

    Foreign Education: Education completed outside the United States must have been evaluated by a private U.S. organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials, commonly called a credential evaluation service or education to meet the above requirements.
