The Naval Intelligence Community spans across many organizations that provide direct support to the Navy, Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard and various Joint and Fleet Commands. Gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Navy relative to the broader Intelligence Community and work side by side with your fellow companions throughout the DOD and various other intelligence agencies.
Serve as the senior integrated surface warfare (SUW) analyst at the GS/GG-14 level on all analytical, production, and programmatic issues for the Air & Surface Warfare Integration Division (TAC-11), Acquisition Intelligence Integration Department, Farragut Technical Analysis Center, within the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). In this position you will provide support the surface warfare Senior Naval Intelligence Officer (SUW SNIO) in providing leadership on all technical intelligence issues related to the SUW portfolio and also represent the (SUW SNIO) as needed at high-level venues (e.g. Flag Officers, Senior Executive Service personnel). This position is located in Suitland, MD.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the military, private , or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintain intelligence processes to produce and deliver briefings and written products to a wide variety of high-level audiences; 2) Identify intelligence gaps and coordinating with external and internal customers and partners.; 3) interpret existing policy to make technical or operational decisions necessary to process all-source materials and produce innovative analyses.

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service. Non-DCIPS applicants selected for a DCIPS position must acknowledge in writing, prior to actual appointment to the DCIPS position, that the position for which he or she has been selected is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS. Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must also acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS position. This acknowledgement is necessary as movement between the excepted service and competitive service may be limited if the employee does not possess competitive status.
