Job DescriptionJOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum 1 year of electrical electronic calibration or military PMEL trainingUnderstand and follow verbal and written instructionsPossess a valid driver's licenseApplicant must be able to pass a background security check.Technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment.Travel to customer's locations throughout the United States up to (1) week at a time. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES The person occupying the position of Service Technician will test, calibrate, and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, and assist in formulating calibration standards by performing the following duties. This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned. Duties may be performed in the shop or on-site.Plans sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment.Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.Measures parts for conformity to specifications.Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment.Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.Create and update data sheets for test equipmentAssist in the maintenance of customer, vendor & equipment databases.Troubleshoots to the component level and makes needed repairs. Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.
