Full Time
Responsible for technical leadership over small/medium software product or combination of products. Will serve as a resource for quality of products released and processes. Specific duties to include:

 

Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products, systems, software and/or related components and equipment.

 Troubleshoots problems and documents findings of tests. Defines testing processes and ensures tests adhere to established standards.

 Will participate in software quality assurance plan development.

 Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

 Participates in special projects as required.

 

Coordinating with the software development and business analyst product leads

 

Documenting defects into the quality management system and working with the development team on how to duplicate errors

 

Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Qualifications 2-5 years of related experience in testing, engineering or software quality assurance.

 

Required Skills

 

Demonstrated understanding of the required technical aspects for testing of front-end applications, back-end SQL code, and volume/performance testing.

Experience leading the testing of software projects of medium to large size and moderate to high complexity to ensure that software meets end-user requirements, design specifications, and development standards. 

High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Knowledge of and experience with  government contract tools, processes and customers

Experience with Open Source Testing Tools highly preferred

Effective verbal and written communication skills
