This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS)-Headquarters Office, in Washington. This position meets the conditions outlined for a "Secondary" position in accordance with 5 CFR 842.802 and applicable OPM retirement policies due to the preponderance of time spent in managerial and case oversight duties.

GS-15: You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level. Examples include serving as a senior agent responsible for planning and directing broad investigations of national or international scope; providing administrative and technical supervision over a staff of journey level criminal investigators; planning, organizing, administering, and coordinating the full spectrum of investigative activities; and representing the organization as a recognized authority in the investigations field in conferences, meetings, and presentations involving issues of considerable importance. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
