About the Agency

The incumbent serves as the Personnel Security Specialist (Policy) under the supervision of the Deputy Director, Office of Security Programs, and has responsibility for development and implementation of and for monitoring Department-wide personnel security policies and programs and for providing personnel security support to the Departmental Offices, Department of the Treasury and in particular the Office of Intelligence and Analysis and to the Department’s Emergency Preparedness program.

Pursuant to 50 USC § 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the intelligence community within the Department of the Treasury.

    Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    • Designing, formulating and implementing policies, procedures, techniques and systems regarding personnel security for a department-wide personnel security program AND
    • Conducting personnel security program appraisals, surveys, data calls or oversight visits at the department level or equivalent.

    The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
