The George Mason University Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual for a part-time office assistant. OIRA functions as the official source of institutional information. The office is responsible for analyzing and reporting institutional information about students, faculty, and staff; academic programs; and other university activities.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supporting a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: online data entry for external surveys, preparing course evaluation packets, organizing and maintaining office files, and assisting with the production of various reports and other documents.
Required Qualifications: * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office products, including Word and PowerPoint; * Patience in using various web interfaces to complete online data entry; * Attention to detail; and * Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working in a higher education setting; and * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
