The George Mason University Facilities Management Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Wage Recycling Worker on the Fairfax campus. Responsibilities: The chief objective of this position is to oversee daily collection of bulk recycling on the Fairfax campus. Additional responsibilities include collecting cardboard bales, containers from food service areas, large quantities of recycling from departmental move-ins and move-outs, and student move-ins and move-outs; and assisting during periods of inclement weather with the spreading of sand and salt on walkways and roadways to remove snow/ice.
Required Qualifications: * Must possess knowledge of recycling and solid waste collection guidelines and procedures; * Must possess the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently; * Must be able to independently move up to 50 pounds; and * Must have valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working with persons with mental and physical disabilities.
