Regional Business Development Officer -Lender III
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.: * Develops new business lending opportunities by contacting prospects (operators, regional franchisor network & Corporate Franchisors) and existing customers regarding appropriate opportunities to expand existing relationships. * Interviews loan applicants, and collects and analyzes information that reflects the current creditworthiness of prospects and/or customers and the specific merits or potential challenges of requested loans or existing loans. May obtain information through direct inspection of the applicant's business and/or collateral, review of interim financial reports, personal interview, and other means. * Establishes, and negotiates where necessary, terms and conditions under which credit will be extended, including interest rates, repayment terms and schedule, as well as appropriate collateral requirements. * Assists credit department personnel with the preparation of necessary internal approval documents and if required, presents loan requests to appropriate loan committee when the proposed loan dollar volume exceeds the business unit's lending authority. * If requested by portfolio management group, will assist with any customer discussions regarding loan repayment activities and/or payment delinquencies. * Communicates effectively with prospects and customers, when appropriate, concerning business management, operational issues or questions and financial matters. * Prepares and/or participates in any required process to maintain lending activity reports for department management (new business pipeline). * Keeps abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on lending activities and markets served. * Participates in community affairs to increase Bridge Funding Group's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities. * Maintains professional, sector and community relations to increase Bridge Funding Group's visibility and new business opportunities, and to further personal development.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Lender I (Officer) - Bachelors degree in Business Administration and/or Finance plus 3 - 4 years of credit experience required. Must also have some sales experience. Lender II (AVP) - Bachelors degree in Business Administration and/or Finance plus 3 -5 years of commercial lending experience required. Lender III (VP) - Bachelors degree in Business Administration and/or Finance plus 5 years plus of commercial lending experience required.The Regional Business Development Officer - Lender is responsible for developing and expanding customer relationships within an assigned region or territory. This position is also responsible for collecting information and documents necessary for determining the creditworthiness of loan applicants.
