The Buildings and Places Division of AECOM is actively seeking an energetic, self-motivated, highly collaborative Interiors Architect / Interior Designer to join its Washington, DC / Arlington, Virginia Interiors Workplace Practice. Candidates should display outstanding design and graphic skills. Candidates should also display strong communication, planning and collaboration skills and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment on a variety of project and tasks. The candidate will manage, coordinate and participate on project teams through the planning, design, and execution of projects and will work with senior designers, technical coordinators, discipline leaders and project managers to develop creative solutions to a myriad of challenging project types. The candidate will be responsible for the management, design and coordination of all phases of an Interiors project including programming, test fits, space plans, design development, construction documents, construction administration and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) packages. Candidate should have an extensive knowledge of AutoDesk's Revit (BIM) software and be able to lead the project team in project setup. Candidates should possess a complete working knowledge in design and production of all phases of an Interiors project delivery including programming, test fits, space plans, design development, construction documents, construction administration and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) selection. Candidates should display outstanding design and graphic skills. Candidates should also display strong communication, planning and collaboration skills, and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment on a variety of projects and tasks. Candidate should be able to lead and manage projects independently. Candidate should have experience working with clients, as well as internal and external project teams to execute the project from concept to completion. Candidate ensures that the drawings incorporate industry standards and compliance with all applicable building codes. **Minimum Requirements** + Professional degree from an accredited Architecture or Interior Design program + 5+ years' experience + Working knowledge in design and production of all phases of an Interiors project delivery including programming, test fits, space plans, design development, construction documents, construction administration and furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) selection + Outstanding design and graphic skills + Strong communication, planning and collaboration skills, and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment on a variety of projects and tasks + Experience working with clients as well as internal and external project teams to execute the project from concept to completion + Proficient in a wide variety of production and visualization software including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up or other visualization software, Adobe Suite, InDesign and Microsoft Office products + Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required **Preferred Qualifications** + Professional Licensure preferred.
