Description:!*!Title: Treasury Management Sales Representative IILocation: Falls Church, VA "Tysons Corner Basic FunctionResponsible for developing new treasury management business, expandingexisting business relationships, and servicing the Bank s treasurymanagement clients, including handling high touch client accounts.Capable of working with the larger, more sophisticated business clientswith the most complex treasury needs. Represents the department ondivision and cross-functional committees.Works closely with Relationship Managers and Unit Managers, as well asclients at the Executive Level. Considered a subject matter expert onTreasury Management product benefits and services with variousindustries and lines of business.ResponsibilitiesCall on prospective business clients to develop new treasury managementsales opportunities through a consultative sales approach.Meet with existing business clients to expand relationships and toensure proper servicing of clients. Capable of managing complexbusiness relationships within assigned portfolio. Responsible for allphases of sales process from referral through implementation.Analyze clients current treasury management structure and pricing, anddevelop customized solutions to meet the clients needs. Prepare andpresent treasury management presentations and proposals (for bothinternal and external audiences), illustrating customized solutions,industry trends, as well as features and benefits of the recommendedproduct offerings.Deliver treasury management industry and solution presentations tooutside groups (eg centers of influence, etc.).Act as a partner with Relationship Managers to market treasurymanagement services to clients and prospects. Provide consultativetraining to ensure an understanding of the Bank s product offerings,and communicate product changes and enhancements.Provide input to management regarding client and prospect pricingstructure. Work with management on a proposal for RelationshipManagers.Assist Regional Treasury Management Sales Manager in executing salesstrategies and in meeting or exceeding departmental goals.Participate in the development of strategic business plans and salescampaigns for target clients and prospects.Participate in division projects as assigned.Nature and ScopeThis position reports to the Treasury Management Regional Sales Managerand is responsible for participating in the development, expansion, andmaintenance of the bank s treasury management business.Works closely with Relationship and line of business managers, as wellas clients at the Executive level.Considered a subject matter expert of Treasury Management productbenefits and services and is a line of business expert for businessunits supported.Basic QualificationsBachelor s degree or four (4) years equivalent in work experience inlieu of a degree.Minimum three (3) years treasury management sales experience orcomparative banking experience.Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent softwarepackages.Strong internal and external relationship building skills.Strong sales aptitude.Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.Customer service - ability to utilize customer support resourcesavailable to address issues.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability tofunction professionally at different levels, eg, clients, managementpeers.Ideal QualificationsCTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred.About M&TAt M&T, we strive to be the best place our employees ever work, thebest bank our customers ever do business with and the best investmentour shareholders ever make.
