A full-time position responsible for administering a wide range of human resources services, policies, procedures and programs. Provides excellent customer service, other administrative duties and participates in company projects as time allows. Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS LEADERSHIPLeading and directing human resources department to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business; crafting of business and people solutions.TALENT MANAGEMENT, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & ENGAGEMENT Maintains established recruiting and interviewing program, counseling managers on candidate selection. Reviews applications and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job-related requirements. Prepares employees through onboarding process by conducting processing paperwork, providing orientation and training programs. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirement and job descriptions for all positions. Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers Supports and coordinates employee recognition programs. Management of employee relations, including managing absences, disciplined, grievances and sickness. Interacts frequently with all levels of staff to establish and understand of their roles and responsibilities to determine their HR support needs and communicate HR services. Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and client complaints as it relates to human capital. Represents the company for any unemployment claims. Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement. Maintains HR systems and records through a filing and retrieval system to meet management and employee needs. Management of the employee recognition program BENEFITS Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits, processing of benefit claims, designing and conducting education programs on benefit programs Keeps records of benefits plans such as insurance, personnel transactions (hires, background/drug tests) promotions, leaves, transfers, performance reviews and terminations). Manages ACA compliance record keeping and reporting. Oversee and maintain relationships with brokers, carriers, enrollment, and monthly invoices. Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction, establishing human resources objectives in alignment with organizational objectives. COMPLIANCE Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law. Ensuring managers are up to date with policy change. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records. OTHER Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and established personal networks Works with other internal teams to ensure the highest level of efficiency and stream-lining of process. Assists the payroll process through ADP Workforce Now. All other duties assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree Human Resources, 3 - 5 years of Human Resources Generalist Experience Human Resources certification (s) preferred, but not required Leadership: Self-Starter Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft word and Excel Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail Ability to analyze data/situations and make recommendations and decisions Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles Examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and active team member Experience of dealing with challenging individuals Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the executive team and all employees of all levels (including remote based). Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture Confident directing HR and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
