Recognized as a subject matter expert, the successful candidate will be the internal and external go-to person for the assigned product and be as comfortable with representing BCD at industry events as consulting with clients on the topic. We are looking for an energetic and self-guided individual, with a can-do attitude and desire to continuously take on new challenges. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in strategically managing complex products on a global scale. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** _Core responsibility 1: Product Planning_ *Gain insights from key technology, operational, commercial and functional business leaders regarding product and applications needs of the business. *Look outside of the box, investigating relevant 3rd party and industry trends to create strategic roadmap *Monitor your product development projects to ensure they're on-scope, on-schedule and on-budget. *Collaborate with the procurement team to select and source key vendors. *Prepare successful market introduction with the product marketing team and hand-over to product delivery teams. _Core responsibility 2: Products & portfolio strategy_ *Provide oversight of strategy, technical, marketing and competitive aspects of all products in your assigned product category *Validate current market problems (foreseeing future ones) and seek new opportunities by positioning our products for the right buyer types. *Create and maintain the business plan, which should include an analysis of product profitability, sales success and pricing strategy for all products within BCD Global Travel & Expense integration solutions *Determine whether it's best to build our own, buy or partner with another company when considering new products in your solution line. _Core responsibility 3: Product marketing_ *Oversees product marketing of assigned product category. *Refine the unique selling proposition and messaging *Develop effective launch strategy based on alignment of offering with needs in each customer segment *Develop marketing collateral, working in concert with broader creative team. Toolkits will support commercial teams and account-level rollouts _Core responsibility 4: Thought leadership_ *Recommend further investigation and involvement of external stakeholder for surveys on high-stake topics; giving reasons on impacts to be expected for the industry and our company's benefits to address the issue. *Recommend which insights to share and with whom (internal/external stakeholders) / for what purpose (planning, marketing or publication). _Core responsibility 5: Stakeholder management_ *Reach out to colleagues across the company - create a network of resources and support. *Maintain and further your relationships with our strategic partners; listen to their thoughts and foster ways to work together successfully. *Connect people within and outside the company to ensure great ideas are followed-up on. **Qualifications** _Essential:_ *Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience *>5 years relevant work experience *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *Deep understanding of employee and/or travel risk management *Ability to get the big picture and demonstrate top down approach in your planning activity and strategies *Ability to motivate yourself and be able to get up to speed quickly - functioning independently in a supportive team *Excellent time-management and project-management skills: you'll be constantly challenged to balance multiple initiatives, projects and perspectives *Competency with Microsoft Office Products, and collaborative software used for projects with remote team members and stakeholders *Capable of working in a virtual and multinational team environment _Preferred:_ *Previous corporate travel experience, understanding of travel risk management topic *Understanding of TMC or BCD operational processes *Good knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage *International experience/exposure is a plus **Field of Interest Category:** Marketing **Shift:** **Percent of Travel:** 1-25% **Relocation:** No **Languages Required:**
