Public Health Nurse Practitioner
This position as a Public Health Nurse Practitioner is in support of the Department of Epidemiology and Threat Assessment (DETA) in the Military HIV Research Program. DETA is involved in the development and pilot of novel delivery methods for state of the art preventive interventions and screening services that address the military-unique factors faced by those most at risk for HIV/STI(sexually transmitted infections)/and BBI (blood borne infections) and other pathogens of interest to the US military. DETA also conducts studies to describe the epidemiology of these pathogens in the military and military associated populations. The Public Health Nurse Practitioner job duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: Recruit and enroll participants in epidemiologic, surveillance, and public health intervention studies and projects.Track participants in studies and collaborate with other DETA staff to develop successful recruitment and retention policies. Provide screening, education, and preventive services. Acquire survey, clinical, and laboratory data in support of studies and projects.
