Summer Internship--Work for Economic Justice and Wall Street Reform
Americans for Financial Reform is seeking a summer intern. We are a public-interest coalition dedicated to fundamental reform of Wall Street. That includes rooting out the abuses built into financial products such as payday loans and private student loans, and defending existing rules and reforms against special-interest attacks.
Senator Elizabeth Warren helped found AFR, and we played a pivotal role in creating and defending her vision of a strong Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In broader terms, we are committed to holding Wall Street accountable and working for a financial system that serves the needs of the society as a whole, and not just its own needs.
We can offer a $15-a-day expense stipend plus valuable, stimulating, soul-satisfying work and a crash course in public-interest advocacy, financial regulation, communications and coalition building.
For more about AFR and its work, see the video with Senator Warren posted at defenddoddfrank.org.
