Senior Project Manager for JSP, supporting PMO and Engineering. Role is to join a functioning PMO shop with 13 Project Managers currently, managing all sorts of technical projects.

Experience briefing at the highest levels of government is required: our Project Managers manage complex techincal IT projects and brief regularly (weekly, bi-weekly or even multiple times a week) to SES and equivalents.


Experience gathering techincal project requirements, building a Microsoft Project schedule (WBS, crticial path, milestones, resourced), identifying and managing risks, preparing and briefing to senior leadership (multiple SES and equivalents), and working with customers. Day to day work is supporting an interacting with mutiple GS-15's and 14's. You will be expected to join the team, take on multiple projects and add value to the organization. Projects vary and include large enterprise projects like WIN10, to software upgrades or enterprise tools for JSP or our customers we support.


This is busy and complex environment, with an agency that is under transformation, your role will be to join the functioning team to take on new and in-progress technical projects. Processes are often in flux and you should have the ability to reach out and figure out what is needed to get the job done, while operating within the organization's rules and guidelines. Minimum 7 years of Project Management required.

Experience briefing to SES and equivalents required.

Experience in project management of enterprise, technical IT projects required.

Experience with Microsoft Project required.


PMP certification highly desired.

Experience using web/SP Project Server desired.

Past Pentagon experience highly desired.


Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects and tasks.


 At this level, the position is typically responsible for managing multiple projects and tasks and supervising more than 25 employees ' both exempt and non-exempt and including two or more subordinate supervisors and managers. Technical difficulty/complexity of assigned tasks/projects may also affect level selection.


 1. Provides technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including contract and subcontractor management.

 2. Supervises assigned staff, including subordinate managers.

 3. Develops technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order and administrative reporting.

 4. Reviews future project requirements and develops strategies for future work.

 5. May also perform high level technical services on assigned tasks.

 6. Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.

 7. Attends customer meetings and serves as primary client liaison.

 8. Interacts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.

 9. Coordinates development of deliverables and products.

 10. Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.

 11. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

 12. Participates in special projects as required.

Education 1. Bachelors Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

 2. Professional certification (PMP) preferred.

Qualifications 10-12 years of related experience, including supervisory experience.
