In the Healthcare Business Analyst role, you will support the Coordination of Benefits (COB) process. You will gather and document requirements to pull and perform analysis of claims data. You will then work with internal development teams to create algorithms designed to detect members with Medicare and/or other Commercial insurance, and to realize cost savings for our new and existing clients. There's never been a better time to do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Mine member, claims and COB data Perform proof of concept analyses Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues Investigate and respond to routine or standard requests Work on process improvement opportunities Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement May lead functional or segment teams or projects Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues Motivate and inspire other team members Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or relevant equivalent experience Coordination of Benefits experience (COB) Experience writing and assessing business requirements documents 2+ years of data analysis experience Proficient with Microsoft ExcelPreferred Qualifications:Ability to work projects from inception to completion Self-driven, ability to work independently and facilitate change Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain understanding of numerous client processes Detail oriented Excellent time management and prioritization skills in order to meet multiple deadlines; comfortable working in a high-paced / high production areaCareers with Optum.
