Summer Day Camp Counselor CYP Program Assistant

The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Bachelor Housing (BH) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval District Washington (NDW) Region.

This position is to work at JBAB Summer Day Camp. Training will occur between May 31st and the first day of camp/mid June.This training also requires at least one (1) eight hour Saturday training, between these dates as well as 1-2 evening trainings. Training/work hours will not exceed 40 hours in each week.
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Prior experience working with children and/or youth preferred but not required.
Must be able to complete all DON training requirements within specified timeframes.
Must pass a pre-employment physical, including pre-employment drug testing and provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable diseases.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
