Muddy Mutt DogWash & Store Manager
The Muddy Mutt in Arlington, VA is looking a store manager to oversee a small dog business. The business has a small retail component (with some dog foods, toys and treats) and offers grooming and baths/nails/glands as well as a self-service washing station. We are looking for someone who absolutely loves dogs and wants to stay long-term to help run and grow the business and really be the "face of the store."
Job hours will be flexible, but will be 40 hours a week, including a day on weekend. Main duties will include checking people in and out and helping them get set up in the self-serve stations, answering the phone, helping with ordering and minimal staff oversight (mainly scheduling). The manager will work on process improvement and training staff. This individual will also be in contact with the store owner.
We are really looking for someone who wants a long-term, low-key job who has exceptional customer service and will be the one to greet customers and remember names and faces and pets and really make people want to come there. The job is not demanding and very flexible. There will be some weekend hours as this is when we are busiest!
Benefits include paid time off and a health insurance stipend, but wage will be non-exempt and between $16.00/hour- $20.00/hour based on experience level. The business owner determines any year-end bonuses if applicable based on performance and attitude.
Please respond to this ad to apply and provide your resume as well as a few paragraphs about you and why you think you would be perfect for this position. We aren't looking for someone who wants to "climb the ladder" or stay for awhile and go, but someone who wants a long-term relationship with the customers and pets.
Please do not contact the store directly. All applications should come through this ad to be considered.
Please let us know why we should choose you! If you do not write why you would love this job, then you will not be considered. We are hoping to fill this position by the end of April 2017.
