HESI SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM ASSOCIATE

Looking for an exciting career in human and environmental toxicology, safety, and risk assessment?

The ILSI Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI), a global nonprofit scientific organization, seeks a Scientific Program Associate to work with senior HESI staff to provide scientific and administrative support for committee activities on a diverse set of projects focused on human health, environmental safety, and risk assessment. HESI offers the opportunity to work with internationally recognized scientists from government, academia, and industry. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment with senior staff in-house and through HESI’s international networks.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field such as biology, chemistry, public health, toxicology and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional work experience. Experience with project management, meetings coordination, data management and contracts, publications, scientific consulting and/or regulatory affairs preferred. Successful candidates should also have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software; excellent written/ verbal communications and proofreading skills; and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively. Some travel may be required.
