Substance Abuse Specialist
Provide individual, family and peer group counseling on substance use disorders and mental illness, complete psychosocial assessments
Provide supportive substance abuse counseling, and assertive case management, to include appropriate assessment, planning, coordination, linkage, delivery and advocacy of services for all assigned clients.
Participate in the on-call system for after-hours emergencies
Participate in rotating coverage of nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications: Certified Addictions Counselor in the State of Maryland is preferred.One year of training or experience providing mental health services and addictions counseling. Possession of a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (as determined by HR) required.
Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. May be required to transport clients in personal vehicle.
