Assitstant Water & Sewer Director
The City of Manassas is seeking an experienced civil or environmental engineer to perform supervisory, administrative, and technical work in overseeing and supervising professional level engineering planning, design, and construction for a variety of difficult and complex engineering, construction, planning of water and sewer projects and programs, including water plant, water distribution system and sewer collection system design, construction and expansion.
Hiring Range for this position is: $85,488.00 - $113,256.00/DOQ
Essential Job Functions:
Performs professional level engineering, planning, design and construction for a variety of difficult and complex designs, replacement and refurbishing of major projects and programs, including water plant, water distribution system and sewage collection system. Evaluates new or modified treatment procedures; recommends changes to improve quality; ensures that all processes function to pass regulatory agency requirements; provides hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems; and assists in planning and budgeting.
Education & Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering supplemented by four to five years of experience in utilities engineering and construction, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver's license.
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
