Manager, Digital Acquisition Marketing
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation's largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager, Digital Acquisition Marketing for its Acquisition Marketing department . The primary purpose of this position is to manage key aspects of the organization's online acquisition program, with the goal of maximizing lifetime net revenue. This position will be responsible for: *Maintaining the day to day aspects of the digital acquisition program, working to achieve revenue goals and growing the program in accordance with the organization's advocacy, branding, fundraising and list growth goals; *Managing online advertising campaigns from strategic planning and development to execution and performance monitoring; *Collaborating with marketing and content teams to produce ad copy and design, and coordinate content needed to implement paid advertising campaigns and third-party list buys; *Collaborating with fundraising and analytics teams to measure impact of acquisition marketing on overall fundraising strategies; *Leading the digital strategy, execution and reporting for various acquisition and fundraising initiatives; *Managing a budget to support The HSUS and select affiliate programs as needed; *Leading the efforts to create and implement landing pages on specific campaigns; *Developing creative assets and updating content to ensure consistency and optimize performance; *Managing program advertising campaigns and advising program leadership on effective paid tactics to ensure advertising budgets are spent efficiently in support of campaigns and goals; *Providing assistance to social media team to monitor and respond to comments; *Helping with Identifying, evaluating, and managing partnerships with third-party websites; *Acting as project management liaison with creative agencies and vendors as needed; *Compiling and acting upon reports from online advertising efforts related to paid advertising; *Staying abreast of the latest trends in online marketing, paid advertising and nonprofit technology; *Working with the marketing technology teams to develop mobile advertising campaigns; *Researching and following trends of other non-profits best practices with regards to online donor acquisition; *Coordinating with staff on data collection, reporting, and analysis. Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, journalism, English, liberal arts, communications, or equivalent experience required; *Minimum three years' experience in Internet marketing activities required; *Basic HTML and web design experience required along with prior supervisory experience. *Demonstrated, intensive knowledge of the Internet, online trends, and the use of the Internet for fundraising and/or social change; and familiarity with social media and paid advertising techniques; *Demonstrated project management skills strongly desired; *Strong writing and editing skills are essential; *Interest in animal protection issues strongly desired; This position is located in Gaithersburg, MD.
