Job Description
Under direct supervision of the Director of Benefits, the selected candidate will administer the company's Long Term Disability (LTD) plan and serve as the corporate liaison between Leave and Benefits Administrators in GEICO's regional offices and LTD insurance carriers. Responsibilities also include managing the disability Waiver of Premium processes for life insurance, HMO medical plans, and coordinating wellness initiatives throughout the company; e.g., flu shot clinics and benefit fairs.
Additional duties include counseling and training the regional Benefits/Leave Administrators on all aspects of the LTD plan, maintaining an LTD Administration Manual, auditing LTD carrier reports, administering the Corporate Disability email box, monitoring LTD participant activity, ensuring that transactions are processed accurately in PeopleSoft and monitoring third party Medicare coordinator to ensure disabled participants obtain Medicare coverage.
*All candidates will be required to pass an Excel test using V lookup functions and an analytical exercise.
Qualifications • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to analyze reports using and resolve problems
• Knowledge of Benefits and/or PeopleSoft preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration studies preferred
