GEICO's Fredericksburg, VA office is hiring Operating Engineers.   Candidates interested in this position must have above average PC skills and be able to successfully communicate and interact with associates at all levels including senior management and outside vendors. Candidates must be able to work effectively as part of a team, adapt readily to change, work well under pressure, and must be detail oriented.   Qualified candidates must have experience working in a facilities or similar environment, monitoring energy management systems, and understand & operate stand by generation power plant and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems.  Candidates interested in this position should be familiar with A/C mechanical, electrical equipment, system operations and testing of Industrial Cooling Towers.    Additional job duties include, but are not limited to, executing the preventative maintenance assignments for the entire power plant; handling internal work orders, modular furniture re-configurations and meeting room set-ups; documenting maintenance logs on a daily basis; operating lift equipment; lifting, and climbing ladders.


Qualifications: Related on the job experience or certifications in 2 or more areas: *Safety (CPR Certified)
*Electrical (Journeyman level Certification)
*HVAC II energy management
*Industrial Cooling Tower Water Treatment I
*UPS/Standby Power Plant Generation
*Construction (Journeyman) Qualifications: Filing - Lifting - PC experience - Phone Experience - Public Contact - Standing - All State licenses required
