General SummarySupports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration of various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, and maintenance and/or repair activities.Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.Contractor prepares work packages of research documents gathered and presents finding to engineering to devise potential solutions.Contractor contacts OEM, distributors, and material suppliers based on issues presented.Interacts with ship supply personnel and Chief Engineer to find solutions to supply problems from Defense Logistics Agency to stock system delays beyond their control.On agreement of solutions with engineering, contractor enters final resolution into the Remedy System and provides research results to other activities.Provides Remedy results in a timely manner based on issue due dates. Provides daily, weekly monthly reports/updates.Regularly access and maintain various databases used during the research phase to obtain drawings and schematicsFollows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.Schedules, attends and participates on regularly scheduled meetings.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.
- 2-5 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.Previous Navy experience is preferredProficient with computers, word, excel and adobe applications.Strong Technical backgroundHigh Attention to detail
