Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Power Distribution Stations (PDS) Inspector to support a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location. The PDS Inspector will review all power distribution stations and systems to ensure there has been no unauthorized access or tampering.

Responsibilities
• Inspect various locations (within and outside of secured spaces) for signs of unauthorized access or tampering
• Record results of physical and security inspections
• Report to RDT&E PDS Lead any abnormal observations or occurrences
• Use optical devices to observe underground security conditions
• Complete work activities based on drawings, instructions or standard procedures
• Assemble various mechanical, electrical or computer parts and subassemblies
• Install labels, markers and tags for various wiring, cable and mechanical assemblies
• Provide backup coverage for Weekends and Holidays, as needed

Required Qualifications
• BA/BS degree
• Valid Driver's license
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance
• Very good work ethic (hard worker who is reliable, punctual and shows initiative)
• Great attention to detail
• Good math and reading skills, and legible writing skills
• Experience with hand tools and power tools
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and possibly some weekdays

Desired Qualifications
• Ability to read and understand architectural/mechanical drawings (ASME Y14/DRM experience)
• Ability to install and perform general duties supporting the construction, installation and integration of Information Technology or Telecommunication equipment or subassemblies
• A basic understanding of wiring, wiring harnesses and wire labeling (knowledge of ANSI/J-STD-001 Soldering Certifications and requirements of IPC-A-610)
• 2 years of relevant work experience
