This position serves as an Administrative Specialist for NSWG-10 and respective Special Reconnaissance Team (SRT).  The Administrative Specialist will operate under direct supervision of the NSWG-10 Comptroller, SRT-2 Operations Officer and SRT-1 Administration Officer.  This position supports administrative tasks which include but are not limited to: travel, managing and maintenance of the PERSTEMPO database, support of DTS administration, and assistance with Naval Special Warfare Defense Ready System daily deployment reporting input and verification.

 

Specific Duties include:

 

1. Process data from DTS reports for entry into Personnel Tempo (PERSTEMPO) database

 

2. Create Duty Status events in Defense Ready-DEPREP (Deployment Report)

 

3. Process weekly PERSTEMPO reports for Admin and Operations

 

4. Assist with military and civilian travel payments, voucher examination and administrative maintenance of the Defense Travel System (DTS)

 

5. Analyzes and audits travel reimbursement vouchers for completeness, accuracy and proper expenditure of Federal Funds

 

6. Screens and verifies all receipts, certifies vouchers, monitors accounts payable, and obligation balances.

 

7. Conducts liaison with Consolidated Travel Office (CTO) for arrangements of travel to localities internal and external to CONUS.

 

8. Process the submission of travel vouchers via DTS by military and DoD civilian personnel within five (5) working days after completion of travel. Ensures vouchers are correct and comply with Federal Travel Regulations .  Contacts travelers regarding receipt or erroneous documentation required for payment.

 

9. Provides SRT Administrative departments with copies of orders and order modifications to ensure tax-free compensation when applicable.

 

10. Provides technical travel and DTS guidance to military personnel in travel voucher review functions. Responsible for training travel personnel in a high turnover environment.

 

Education Associates Degree in a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Qualifications SECRET Clearance Minimum 4-years DoD experience Experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS)
