Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Technical Support Specialist to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations. The Technical Support Specialist will be part of a front line team that provides Distributed Computing Environment support.

Responsibilities
• Provide support to include: workstation hardware and software, LAN file, print, email and other office applications, database servers, storage solutions and related computing platforms (mobile computing requirements for travel support and remote access solutions)
• Answer phones
• Create tickets in Remedy or other Service Desk database
• Input data into a database
• Perform remote administration of PCs, laptops, peripheral IT equipment, and PDAs

Required Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of Help Desk/Support experience
• Experience with Dell PCs and laptops
• Knowledge of Networking, Windows XP/7, CISCO network, HP and Dell IT equipment
• Troubleshooting experience
• Experience resolving user issues
• Knowledge of Windows 7 as well as Legacy operating systems
• Experience working in a dynamic environment and producing quality work within demanding timelines
• Experience with network printers
• Knowledge of the following software applications: ActivClient, Adobe Flash, Adobe Professional, Adobe Shockwave, Java, McAfee Anti-Spyware, McAfee Framework, Microsoft SilverLight, Microsoft Configuration Manager Agent, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio Viewer, MXI Access Client, NCase, QuickView Plus, RealPlayer, WinZip
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Desired Qualifications
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline
• A+, Security +, certifications and/or other relevant certifications
