Responsibilities

There is one 1/3 Graduate assistantship available for this posting.

Marymount graduate students who have been accepted and will be enrolled for at least 6 graduate credits during the Fall 2017 semester, are invited to apply for a part-time (1/3) graduate assistantship position in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

A total of 105 service hours each semester is required. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the Fall semester.

A 1/3 graduate assistant in the CTL typically works 7 hours per week during each 15 week semester providing development and training in the use of educational technologies.

The CTL serves the entire Marymount community. This position focuses primarily on video editing, research and teaching assistance. The GA will assist Marymount’s media specialist in working with faculty and professional staff on various projects.

The 1/3 GA receives a waiver of 3 graduate credits each semester of the assistantship. Interviews for the positions begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Accepted into Marymount as a graduate student
  • Will be enrolled in at least 6 credits each semester of the assistantship.
  • 3.5 GPA
  • Knowledge of multiple educational technologies.
  • Ability to work at all Marymount academic locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accepted students enrolled full-time are given preference over part-time students.
  • Academic record and community/professional service will be considered in decision-making.
  • Proficient in video editing, media services, web conferencing, and other teaching technologies.
  • Prior tutoring, teaching, counseling or coaching experience.
  • Student enrolled in the Education Department.
