General Dynamics Information Technology’s (GDIT), is seeking a technical writer to support drafting and editing of documentation to include technical, management approach to staffing, policy, organizational performance, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

     Candidates having experience with Navy Air Operations Command and Control (NAOC2), Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) will receive priority consideration. Experience with writing in the areas of US Navy Command and Control (C2), Marine Corps Air- Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Combat Systems Support and Operations is greatly desired.

     Candidates will work directly with SPAWAR’s engineering and scientific subject matter experts (SMEs) to document program information and all of the program’s written content in accordance with schedule and deadlines. Candidates for this position must possess the interview skills to extract detailed content from the SMEs, and translate to high quality written products consistent with the premier US Navy program developers. 

 

     Candidates will also support editing and reviews as well as participate in the development, revision and delivery of internal and external written products and demonstrations.

 

     Candidates should be able to maintain current knowledge of organizational services, products, partners, and structure.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Social Science, or technical discipline consistent with the aforementioned requirements or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of directly related internal and or marketing communications or public relations agency experience.
 
Minimum of two years of experience in technical writing, or documenting support to technical programs and efforts
