General Dynamics IT has an opening for a  Document Imaging Specialist in New Orleans, LA       Successful candidate must be able to obtain and retain a Department of Interior security clearance. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and a resident of the US for the previous 3 years with no longer than a 90 day absence.



This position requires the successful candidate to interact with sophisticated scanning software and an assortment of client specific databases in order to perform completion of technical tasking related to the regulation of the oil and gas industry

    Prep documents according to specific client request.Remove all paper clips, staples and folds from pages.Perform quality review of the prepared records.Manually count of files prior to prepping and after prepping.Scan documents into specific client database using client specific imaging softwareCompare electronic version to paper versionFollow requirements for sorting and organizing recordsPerform any other duties required to collect and prepare records and setup and operate computer/scanning equipment.

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:  

1. Assists technical specialists, scientists, engineers, or more senior technicians by performing routine to moderately complex technical tasks such as set-up, assembly, and installation of components or equipment.  

2. Conducts testing and troubleshooting and makes repairs as directed.  

3. Gathers and maintains technical data such as test results, drawings, written notes, etc., and prepares reports as requested.

4. May use a computer and one or more software programs or databases.  

5. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications 1-3 years of related technical experience.
