Position Purpose:General Summary:

Performs EKGs and Holter monitor hook-ups, and assists cardiologists/physicians in performing cardiac stress and pulmonary rehabilitation tests throughout hospital. Must be able to work independently in performing these tests. Under direction of registered nurse, sits with patients, to provide safe environment for individuals who need constant observation. Provides one-on-one observation of selected patients, for purpose of identifying behaviors that are potentially hazardous to self or others. Documents patient activity. Supports Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.

Minimum Licensure & Certification Required (if applicable):

1. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Six months of experience performing non-invasive cardiology procedures.

3. Any equivalent combination of education and work experience required to provide comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.

4. Ability to communicate and work with medical professionals.
