Sr Analyst, Systems
Develops and executes procedures to solve complex problems regarding system issues and anomalies. Performs at an advanced technical level on all phases of applications systems analysis and implementation activities. Monitors the status of all U.S. Army Mission Command systems to determine network accessibility, proper configuration, operation, and security. Where problems or anomalies are detected, ensures corrective actions are applied using the systems' Program Management Office (PMO) prescribed access methods alongside industry best practices. Communicates system problems and deficiencies with the appropriate PMO. Applies patches and updates to all systems as required. Coordinates with other site engineers to evaluate interoperability and compatibility issues and execute maintenance plans. Monitors and facilitates the integration and interoperability of U.S. Army Mission Command systems, to include BFT/FFT. Plans and implements interfaces with external systems as required. Forward deploys to provide the full spectrum of C2 system administration, to include Solaris, Windows, and Linux operating system configuration and maintenance as well as VMware ESXI virtualization architectures. Coordinates with external agencies such as the BFT Mission Command Support Center (MCSC) to facilitate tracking and management of BFT/FFT devices within the theater Common Operating Picture (COP). Experience with planning, developing, integrating, and supporting systems and architectures for Army operations/exercises involving Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) systems. Experience supporting the GCCS-A, ICSF, Agile Client, GCCS-A Data Dissemination Service (DDS), JADOCS, CPOF, ADSI, and Command Web (CmdWeb). Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting GCCS-A and Battle Command Common Services (BCCS) server stacks IAW PM guidelines. Experience using the GCCS Management Console (GMC) to configure Data Dissemination Services (DDS) for COP data sharing. Experience creating track data and overlays using the CmdWeb 2D & 3D Maneuver Widgets. Experience configuring CPOF and associated data repositories for data sharing with higher, adjacent, and lower echelons a plus. Experience configuring ADSI for integration and sharing of LINK/Missile data with GCCS-A a plus. Experience with UNIX Solaris 8/10, Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5 or later, or CentOS Linux platform. Experience managing VMware ESXi environments, to include capacity management. Experience integrating and fielding system patches and releases, rebuilding servers & clients in accordance with DoD and PMO guidelines, and investigating and managing computer security incidents. Desired experience with fault tolerant systems - designing, developing disaster recovery plans, developing backup procedures, restoration of files/file systems/storage media. Experience integrating DoD C2 systems with models & simulations (MOD/SIM) a plus. VTC support (preferred) and help desk experience. Must be able to operate independently with little or no supervision. Will be required to forward deploy alongside USARARF units in austere locations for up to six weeks in order to provide field level C2 systems support. Candidate must obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 90 days of hire. Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation within 90 days of hire. Must be able to work independently Must be able to lift 50 pounds Education Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related computer systems analysis and/or programming experience.
