The Diener School is currently seeking a full-time special educator to work as a Lead Teacher in our Upper School, 3-6, for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. Our students have a wide range of abilities. Many of them have several challenges that impact learning, including:

  • ADD or ADHD
  • Language Delays (expressive, receptive and processing)
  • Sensory Processing Disorders
  • Social Pragmatic Issues
  • Executive Functioning Challenges
  • Learning Disabilities​

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education.  Job responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing lessons that are hands on/multi-sensory
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists and other specialists
  • Implementing behavioral programs and sensory diets
  • Overseeing, supporting and mentoring assistant teacher
  • Writing reports
  • Communicating with parents
