Financial Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Support DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts to meet the congressionally mandated 2017 deadline to achieve fully auditable financial statements. Perform a wide variety of analyses on the composition of DoD financial statements. Support the preparation and compilation of quarterly and annual financial statements. Support the review of various journal vouchers prior to posting. Develop internal controls and related documentation to support the financial reporting internal control environment. Respond to audit documentation requests and ad-hoc client requests, as necessary. Liaise with client stakeholders and subject matter professionals.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with accounting or audits

-Knowledge of financial statements for federal accounting, including General Ledgers (USSGL)

-Knowledge of accounting per government accounting and audit standards or practical field work in governmental accounting and auditing

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with federal consulting preferred

-Experience with financial audits

-Experience in the FIAR community

-Experience with leading and executing concurrent tasks

-Knowledge of financial management practices or business processes

-Knowledge of the compilation and reporting of federal financial statements (FSCR)

-Ability to adapt to and excel in a culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Possession of excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills

-BA or BS degree in Accounting

-CDFM or CGFM Certification

-CPA License preferred
