  • In order to qualify for this position, applicants must possess the basic education requirement, medical requirement, licensure and specialized experience as defined below:


    Basic Education Requirement:  Four-year bachelor's degree in pharmacy recognized by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.

    AND

    Licensure: All applicants must be licensed to practice pharmacy in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.   

    AND

    Medical Requirement:  Be able to distinguish basic colors. 

    Additional Qualification Requirements for the GS-13:  Applicants must possess one (1) year of professional pharmacy specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent band level in the Federal service which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skill and ability to perform successfully in this position, coordinating and managing the activities of medical project areas and evaluating the progress to ensure timely completion;  evaluating and interpreting contents of submitted professional and consumer labeling information; prepare written analyses and evaluation for professionals and participates in discussions; gathering information, identifying problems and developing scientific, risk-based approaches to assignments which are appropriate and consistent with office policy AND providing advice, consultation, and assistance on post-marketing surveillance of drug products and their applications; preparing summaries describing clinical assessment of adverse reaction analyses; and contributing to the development and improvement of procedures for post-marketing surveillance and the processing and evaluation of adverse drug product reaction reports.

    Conditions of Employment:

    1. Security and Background Requirements:  If not previously completed, a background security investigation will be required for all appointees.  Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.  Failure to successfully meet these requirements may be grounds for appropriate personnel action.  In addition, if hired, a background security reinvestigation or supplemental investigation may be required at a later time.  Applicants are also advised that all information concerning qualifications is subject to investigation.  False representation may be grounds for non-consideration, non-selection and/or appropriate disciplinary action.

    2.
