The MIL Corporation seeks a Procurement Assistant to support our Corporate Office in Lexington Park, Maryland. The Procurement Assistant will support the entire purchasing department and will report directly to the Purchasing Manager.

• Interface with internal and external customers on a daily basis
• Expedite orders to ensure vendors meet required Purchase Order (PO) delivery dates, and update project spreadsheets with purchase, time and delivery information
• Keep projects updated and record delivery dates of material and if vendors will not be able to meet delivery dates
• Receiving, tracking, matching, and verifying accuracy of invoices against Pos
• Send invoices to PMs for approval
• Match invoices with receipt travelers/logs, and forward final invoice packages to Accounts Payable for processing
• Follow up to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner and closes the procurement files once invoices have been paid
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with MS office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Possess a professional "can do" attitude
• Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation
• Very good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve, be proactive and have an eye for detail (e.g., if a PO is issued and MIL only receives a partial shipment, but the vendors invoices for the entire order, the Procurement Assistant will notice and record the discrepancy and problem solve accordingly)
• Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
• Team player; we have a "one team" philosophy in the MIL Procurement Department, everyone helps each other in a friendly and professional manner to achieve overall departmental success

Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge of FAR and DFAR
• Experience in procurement or manufacturing
• Experience in using Deltek Costpoint
• Experience with accounting processes
• Current Secret clearance
