The EMMES Corporation, founded in 1977, is a successful contract research organization based in Rockville, Maryland, dedicated to the support of medical research with a public health impact.

EMMES is seeking a long-term, temporary, full-time, experienced International Recruitment Representative to staff for our International offices located in India and Canada.


    Perform full life-cycle recruitment functions: source, recruit, screen, schedule and coordinate candidate interview, reference/background check process and handle all interview follow-up activities (prepare and send offer letter package, send all new hire email notifications and decline letters)

    Provide coordination efforts for all required assessments during candidate interview

    Post and maintain all International open positions to appropriate job boards

    Track, update and maintain all interview data in the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), as well as maintain weekly and monthly spreadsheets to track requisition timelines and candidate outcomes

    Partner with Hiring Managers located in our Domestic and International offices to develop strong relationships to maximize effectiveness of the recruiting process

    Communicate with managers and candidates on a regular basis to establish rapport, provide feedback, follow-up and ensure timeliness

    Follow established company policies to ensure non-discriminatory and legally compliant and ethical practices

    Coordinate weekly recruiting calls with International Hiring Managers for all Staffing and Hiring Updates

    Perform administrative duties, which include but are not limited to; filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, data entry, and scheduling meetings related to the recruitment process

    Other HR related duties as assigned by the Staffing Manager


    A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with International Recruitment/Staffing (must be highly experienced with all recruitment and staffing activities in India and Canada)

    Relevant corporate recruiting experience required, experience recruiting clinical research professionals is a plus

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience

    Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills

    General knowledge of various International employment hiring laws and practices

    Ability to maintain a highly confidential nature of human resources work

    Ability to prioritize, multi-task and problem-solve in a fast paced work environment

    Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff across various departments

    Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment

    Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo ATS preferred), positing jobs on a variety of online job boards and other recruiting resources

    Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule

    Strong business ethics and a high level of professionalism

    High attention to detail
