Description:

The EMMES Corporation, organized in 1977, is a privately owned Contract Research Organization (CRO) located in Rockville, Maryland. Emmes is dedicated to providing statistical and epidemiological expertise, computer systems development, data management, study monitoring, regulatory guidance, and overall operational support to clients engaged in clinical and biomedical research.

Emmes is seeking an Administrative Coordinator with 508 compliance experience to provide a wide variety of administrative and technical support duties for project teams involved in all phases of clinical trials research.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage project deadlines in collaboration with project manager and other project staff
  • Facilitate communications between project staff, corporate staff, and project sponsors regarding project development
  • Design, develop, consolidate, edit, format, and distribute technical reports, manuals, presentations, manuscripts, and regulatory submissions
  • Compose, consolidate, and edit a wide variety of non-technical documents
  • Knowledge of formatting documents for 508 compliance accessibility
  • Maintain database software relating to entering, retrieving, modifying, and manipulating data to generate various documents such as rosters, meeting materials, and reports
  • Participate in establishing and maintaining project and corporate procedures and processes
  • Manage electronic and paper-based project files and archives
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of conference calls and meetings, including international sites and collaborators
  • Maintain the project website contents and user access

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in drafting and coordinating complex reports, documents and presentations
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products and Portable Document Format software products
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio, experience with updating websites, and working with web/video conferencing applications
  • Familiarity with international communications

  • Ability to foresee upcoming issues and problems and suggest solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement.Experience working in a contract research organization environment will be given preferential consideration.
