We are currently seeking experienced Crisis Counselors to work in our Alternative to Hospitalization Program. The schedule involves working two (2) 24 hour shifts, and attending a two (2) hour staff meeting held every Wednesday from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Position Summary: Assess and stabilize clients in psychiatric crisis. Support clients on developing and achieving crisis stabilization goals and subsequent life skills. Maintain and submit client records, reports and forms as needed. Participate in weekly staff meetings and consultations. ;Monitor medications as prescribed. Interface with community providers and link to essential services. Maintain upkeep of facility.Transport clients to appointments as needed.Travel is required throughout Montgomery County to other providers and local shelters.
All interested candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Social Work, or in a related field such as Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling. Previous crisis counseling work is preferred. Spanish speaking is also preferred. Must have full access to a vehicle, with no more than two (2) negative points on your driving record.
